After suffering an ACL injury, Neymar rejoins the Al Hilal team: "I've returned."

After missing a year due to injury, Neymar will rejoin Al Hilal's team for their AFC Champions League Elite encounter next week, the Saudi Arabian team said on Saturday.

In a social media video, Al Hilal made the announcement, and Neymar said, "I understand that you're nervous. So am I. I return on October 21st.

On Monday, Al Hilal will play Al-Ain of the United Arab Emirates.

Neymar joined the Riyadh squad in August 2023, but he only played five games before undergoing surgery in October of last year after rupturing his meniscus and anterior cruciate ligamentwhile representing his nation, in his left knee.

In a Saturday social media post, the 32-year-old talked about his recuperation and shared video of his attempts to return.

"I always recover from injuries. In a video, a sad Neymar stated, "But I don't come back halfway."

Although Neymar resumed training in July, expectations of an instant recovery were tempered in September by his club coach, Jorge Jesus. Neymar's participation on Monday has not been confirmed by the Portuguese coach.

Since there are no restrictions on the amount of international players permitted in the continental competition, Neymar, whose two-year contract expires in August of next year, is entitled to compete in AFC Champions League Elite matches. He will return to the Saudi Pro League just in January, therefore that is not the situation there.

In two rounds of South American World Cup qualifying in November, Neymar might make a comeback for Brazil's national squad if healthy.
